Diamond Class -
To celebrate 200 years of Church Schools, Diamond Class took part in a service at St Albans Abbey on Tuesday 11th October 2011. Krystjan took part in the procession of Clergy and children and our newest member of Diamond Class, Ellie, received a bible to commemorate the occasion. All the children were a credit to the school and Mrs Evans, Mrs Sladen, Mrs Furnell and Mrs Capon were very proud of them all.

WW2 has come to Diamond class in a big way this term (October 2011). Already, many children have interviewed people who experience the war for themselves, and are beginning to realise that it wasn’t, perhaps, quite as much fun as they had imagined! A Morrison shelter has been erected in the classroom, and the children are soon to have their own ‘air raid experience’ – complete with sound effects. A WW2 museum is being built up as artefacts are brought in. It’s amazing what people have in their attics – perhaps you have something of interest that you would like to lend.
